Michigan has the most FIRST Robotics teams of any state in the country, but teams from an all-girls High School are rare. The team performed in two district competitions (Southfield High School and Centerline High School) to earn enough points to qualify for the Michigan State Championship. They ended up ranked 53rd of a field of 411 robotics teams throughout the state. This is a remarkable feat considering this is only their second year of competition.
The Riveters were the highest placing all-girls High School in the State of Michigan. The team sponsors include Autodesk, Fiat Chrysler Automotive, Articulus, Inc., Ford Motor Company, MetroBolt and Fastener, and Wright Beamer, LLC
